I helped develop a web application designed to streamline the risk assessment process for hazardous materials in healthcare environments. HazCulator serves as a user-friendly platform where freight operators and DGSA's can input data about hazardous substances and receive immediate risk assessments based on established safety protocols.
We utilized React for the front end, creating an intuitive interface that simplifies data entry and provides clear, actionable feedback. The application features interactive elements that guide users through the risk assessment process, ensuring they can easily understand and navigate the necessary steps.
On the back end, we implemented Sinatra to manage the database, securely handling user profiles and hazardous material information. We integrated Keycloak for user management, allowing for secure authentication and authorization of different user roles. Additionally, I developed RESTful APIs to ensure smooth communication between the front end and back end, enabling real-time updates and assessments.
