To kickstart my journey of learning Japanese, I decided to challenge myself
by taking the JLPT N5. I registered for the test back in July, which gave
me about six months to prepare. The exam took place at the University of
Leicester, UK.

For my preparation, I relied on a few resources. Here’s some of the books
I used.

Additionally, I practiced regularly with Anki
for spaced repetition and used Benkyo to study
new Kanji.

The results won’t be out until March, but I found the test overall quite
challenging! I felt more confident with the first section on grammar and
Kanji, but the listening part was definitely tough. Despite that, it was
a valuable experience. Regardless of whether I pass, I’m determined to
keep learning and use this as a guide to identify the areas where I need
to focus more effort!

prototype redesign of the Godot project-management UI.

Godot is an open-source game engine for
creating 2D and 3D games across platforms like desktop, mobile, and web.
I developed a prototype for revamping the Project Management UI.

The main goal of the prototype was to remove the action sidebar and
design a more cohesive and streamlined project management interface.
This approach aimed to improve the overall user experience by simplifying
navigation and creating a layout more commonly seen in file managers.

After some feedback in the proposal, I also developed a compact version
of the UI as you can see in the screenshot below.
